A policeman with over 19 years service has been arrested in connection with stealing stolen television sets.
The police corporal, who was assigned to probe the larceny of the two tv sets, is alleged to have taken possession of the items once he solved the case.
The officer has been arrested by members of the TTPS's Professional Standards Bureau over the weekend, following intense investigations into the theft.
The two television sets are valued at 21 thousand dollars.
The larceny was said to have occurred sometimes between April and the first week in June.
Two men surrendered to the police this afternoon in connection with the shooting and wounding of Sgt Ricardo Morris.
According to police sources, the men, who live in the Sea Lots area walked into the charge room of the Central Police Station at about 3 pm accompanied by their representing attorneys.
Morris, who is assigned to the Belmont Police Station, was at a basketball court at Pioneer Drive, Sea Lots, at about 9.30 pm last Thursday with his son, when he saw a man walking with a high-powered weapon.
