The Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs has announced that Chinese officials have withdrawn the invitation to Prime Minister Dr Keith Rowley to attend a 'high-level meeting' in China this year.
A statement by the ministry says the prime minister has instead been invited to visit China on a State Visit next year.
Last week Minister Stuart Young announced that the prime minister would attend the high-level meeting and then proceed immediately on a state visit.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs has officially appointed Makeda Antoine as the new Head of Mission to the United Nation.
It follows some controversy over whether she is qualified for the job.
But the Ministry issued the following statement on Tuesday, confirming the appointment.
A photo appearing on the Instagram page of Central businessman Sheron Sukhdeo seems to suggest that he has purchased a light aircraft.
Sukhdeo is popular for a car business he runs in Chaguanas.
The post on his Instagram page - sherons_auto - shows a picture of a fixed-wing, multi-engine propeller aircraft with Sukhdeo on the wing.
It is captioned, "Fed up buy cars" and is followed by another comment "All thanks to the father for all his blessings".
The aircraft is registered as N6739Y.
