Water disruptions from St Joseph to Santa Cruz on Friday

The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) is advising customers served by the Valsayn A Booster Station that there will be an interruption in their pipe borne water supply on Friday, 17th November 2017, between the hours of 6 am and 6 pm.

WASA says this has become necessary in order to facilitate maintenance works at the plant.

The affected areas will include:

· Along the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to Aranguez Main Road, San Juan including Champs Fleurs, Mt. Hope, Mt. Lambert and Petit Bourg;

Canine detection at airports from Thursday

The Airports Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (AATT) says that effective Thursday 16th November, 2017, canine detection will be introduced as an additional security measure at the Piarco International Airport.

The AATT says this new feature will be introduced on a trial basis and is aimed at increasing the effectiveness of the security systems at the Piarco International Airport.

The AATT says the dogs and their handlers have been highly trained to perform in the aviation environment, and will function in accordance with international standards.
