Economic impact of 2017 CPL in T&T was US$23.6 million

The economic impact of the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) in Trinidad and Tobago last year, amounted to US$23.6 million dollars (TT$158.2 million).

This was announced by the Hero CPL Chief Operations Officer, Pete Russell.

The event in 2017 ran from August 4th to September 9th and T&T hosted five preliminary round matches at the Queen’s Park Oval, as well as the finals week which took place at the Brian Lara Cricket Academy in Tarouba.

International researchers, SMG Insight considered organiser spend, visitor spend and media value to derive economic impact.
