International: Former US Gymnastics sports director sentenced to 175 year for sexual abuse of his cares

US Judge Rosemarie Aquilina has sentenced disgraced former US Gymnastics sports director Larry Nassar to 175 years in prison for sexually abusing several girls under his care.

In handing down the sentence, the judge called him “despicable” as she said before the sentence was read, that Nassar will “be in darkness for the rest of his life.”

“I just signed your death warrant,” Aquilina said.

The judge took time beforehand to carefully, methodically lambaste Nassar and his so-called "treatments" and said he has not yet owned up to his conduct.
