Two vehicles were recovered by officers of the Arima CID and Task Force, within hours of being reported stolen from the Arima district, over the weekend, police said in a statement.
The first vehicle, a green Toyota Yaris, belonging to a 51-year-old man of Demerara Heights, Wallerfield, was reported stolen from his home, around 10:00pm on Friday 10th November, 2017.
The vehicle was later found intact by officers around 3:00am on Saturday 11th November, 2017 along Noriega Trace, Bye Pass Road, Arima.
Two live goats, which were reported stolen from a farm in the Wallerfield area some hours earlier, were found in the trunk of the vehicle.
The second vehicle, a silver Nissan Tiida, was reported stolen around 7:20pm, on Saturday 11th November, 2017, along Woodford Street, Arima from a 33-year-old Arima man.
It was also discovered intact along Boys Lane, D’Abadie around 9:00pm that same day.
No arrests have as yet been made in either incidents.
And a silver Nissan B14 vehicle belonging to a 26-year-old Penal man and which was reported missing from Ramjohn Trace, Penal on Wednesday 8th November, 2017, was recovered on Sunday 12th November, 2017.
A 27-year-old straightener from Santa Flora, was arrested in connection with that incident
